StoryWalk®

StoryWalk® is a fun, educational activity that places a children's storybook along a walking trail within the community. This project was created to help build children's interest in reading while encouraging healthy outdoor activity for all. Stories along the Storybook Trail will change monthly April-November with a break during winter months.

The 2023 StoryWalk® will feature:

April - "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" by Bill Martin Jr.

May - "Mother Goose Rhymes Las Rimas de Mama Oca"

June - "Bug Hunt" by Editors of Storey Publishing

Crafternoon

Kids in grades 3-6 will enjoy using a variety of creative techniques and media as part of our monthly first-Friday Crafternoon series.  On Friday, June at 4 p.m. we will be making a roll-up card for dad.

Registration is required and begins on Monday, May 15.  Register below or by contacting the Children's Department at 330-683-1065.

Seed Exchange

Have you been dreaming of warm days and being in your garden?  We are once again offering our popular Seed Exchange.  If you have leftover seeds or are maybe looking for something new to try, this is the place to go!  Stop in anytime to check out our display area of free seeds.

If donating seeds, please be sure to label the container with the type of plant and the year of the seed.  Bags and tags will be provided, if needed.  Anyone can participate, whether you donate or not.

Seed saving and gardening books will also be on display.
